What’s it like?

This is the elegant, self-contained studio apartment you have been dreaming of.  It’s a completely furnished living space, perfect for the temporary DC Metro area professional. This lower-level space is for one adult male or female. It comes equipped with a printer, wireless internet for your computer and HD cable for TV, an antique desk and old-world decor.  There is a wonderful marble fireplace for the winter, and a community pool, parks, and local tennis courts nearby for the summer. You would have a private door to your own patio and the back yard, sufficient storage and shelf-space, and a double bed with a clean, comfy mattress. A private parking space near the house would be available for you. There is a well-appointed, private bathroom, small refrigerator, small freezer, microwave, and a large cabinet in the utility room available as pantry or additional storage space. The laundry room is complete with a full-size washer and dryer, utility sink and more shelf space designated for you.

What’s it include?

The rent includes, utilities: water, gas, electric, trash/recycling both on Tuesday and trash pick up only up on Friday; Access to a Yi-Fi network for your computer, HD cable, and HD-TV with cable box (or you may bring your own TV). You need to provide your own cell phone. If you’re staying for a longer time, you may consider having a telephone landline installed.  Also includes lots of lovely extras like professional maid service (not by your landlady). Linen service available.

This is the perfect spot that is quiet and cozy, yet is located in the heart of Gaithersburg ,

steps from the Ride-on-Bus (#59); 1.5 miles from MARC train/Red Line Metro, right near

Routes 355/270/370/495/ shopping and more. It is 25 miles from Nation’s Capitol, and the Smithsonian Institution and the excitement of DC.  For our location and surroundings attractions and other hot spots in MD, DC, and VA.  See the Google map

We’re  one and  1/2  miles from National Institute of Standards and Technology NIST (MAP), and 11 Miles from the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. National Institutes of Health, multiple facilities throughout the area (NIH MAP).  The Universities at Shady Grove (UMD MAP) is and many other Research Institutions like the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center as well as Johns Hopkins are located nearby.

This fully furnished lower-level large room, with private entrance, is almost a studio apartment, but with limited cooking facilities (microwave, small freezer, small fridge), though you're welcome to share the oven and stove with us in the full kitchen upstairs. The upper levels of which are occupied by myself and an upstairs renter.  Non-smoking interior. Equal opportunity establishment.
